Design and Functionality Of Swimming Spa Pool

Not so long ago, hydro massage pools were considered in our country to be, if not exotic, then certainly extraordinary, and today they are not only widely known and popular, but are often perceived as an important and even mandatory attribute in the arrangement of the wellness zone of a private house or country estate.

Nowadays, the spa pool market has reached a fairly high level of development – almost anyone can choose a suitable model based on their needs, preferences and financial capabilities.

A quality spa should fulfil three main functions: warming up the body, relieving stress from the muscular and musculoskeletal system, and water massage.

Thermal effects dilate blood vessels, increase blood circulation, relieve pain and muscle fatigue, which is why all spa pools are equipped with water heating devices.

When immersed in water, the body loses up to 80% of its weight, the effect of weightlessness allows you to maximally relax tight and loaded muscles, relieve spasms and pinching and other similar problems arising from a sedentary lifestyle and prolonged static loads on the muscles and skeleton.

The main difference between spa pools and conventional whirlpools is the availability of water care equipment. Moreover, the requirements for modern water purification standards are becoming more and more stringent.

Today, the water treatment system of any high-quality spa pool includes filters, circulation pumps and often an ozone generator. In addition, various modifications of filters appear, and the area of filter elements increases.

For example, there is a system of carbon filters that purify water to a drinking state, or a so-called coarse filter, which retains large particles, preventing clogging of the main filter and thereby extending its service life.

Modern spas are equipped with innovative control systems, including wireless ones. The pool can be controlled remotely. Without a doubt, the main component of the spa pool is the jets, they provide the bowl of water with the healing power that is expected from it.

According to the principle of operation, jets in spa pools can be divided into hydro massage, air massage and combined. Hydro massage jets deliver pressurized water jets into the pool.

Air jets release streams of air into the bowl through small holes, which immediately turn into a cloud of bubbles under water. Accordingly, the combination nozzles supply both water and air to the pool.

In terms of their action, nozzles are straight-jet and dynamic. In the first, a stream of water beats evenly at one point. The latter can create a pulsating flow of water or a flow in the form of a whirlpool, which has a more intense effect on the body.

Of course, spa companies are constantly improving the capabilities of their jets. For example, back massage jets direct the jets up and down, as if smoothing the body.

Typically, in modern spas, you can adjust the flow rate, for example, in order to alternate between deep massage and shallow massage, thus achieving the best effect. Nozzles are made of plastic, stainless or chrome-plated steel: both materials are quite durable.
