Sensor Faucets

The Right Way To Install Sensor Faucets In Your Kitchen

Posted on November 10, 2020February 4, 2021 by Administrator

Because of their motion sensing feature and touchless usage, the sensor faucets are commonly known as automatic or touchless faucet. The mechanism of such faucets for bathroom sinks is equipped with a sensor and mechanism that allows water to flow in response to the hand’s presence in closeness to the faucet.

The need for having a sensor faucet  has been signified even more in recent times given the threat of bacterial and viral infections loom large. With a no-touch faucet direct bathroom sink and faucet direct kitchen sink, the transmitting of germs and bacteria can be avoided to a great deal. May people tend to cast their apprehensions in regards to installation of the sensor faucets as they think it is a process of complexities; on the contrary, it is an easy process. All you need is sufficient water-supply pressure.

Steps for Installing a Sensor Faucet in your kitchen/bathroom

Sensor Faucet in your bathroom

1. Turn Off Your Water Supply – First things first; locate the main water valve and switch it off. In the next step, you are required to run all of the hot and cold taps to drain any water still in the system. Doing this ensures a dry surface with no room for big spills during installation.

2. Remove Your Current Tap – The basin has to be bent a little to reach underneath for the nut that secures your current basin mixer. Once done, remove and carefully take off from the basin and detach it from your home’s pipework. This process is a little fiddly and may call for patience. Avoid any kind of haste whatsoever.

3. Install Your Sensor Tap – To do so, you need to pass the new sensor tap and its inlet pipe and sensor cable through the mounting hole on your basin. Then you need to get down underneath one more time. On here, you have to attach the inlet pipe to the corresponding inlet point on your tap’s controller box. The same process is to be repeated with the outlet pipe (your water supply).

4. Wire the Sensor – The sensor cable has to be attached from the tap to the controller box. Once done, open the battery compartment and load them with the appropriate batteries. By and large, most of the sensor faucets come with AA battery configuration and have excellent power backup.

5. Test and Tidy – Now that all the fixes and wiring up of the batteries have been, you need to test the tap. In order to do so, you first need to turn the water supply back on at the mains and try to activate your tap by waving your hand in front of its infrared sensor. And there you have it! You have the tap installation done for a touchless experience. Secure the controller box further by tidying up the messy wires to the wall under the basin.

One of the coolest features of the faucet direct kitchen sink is adaptability in both power modes. That is to say the when both power modes are connected, it will work on AC & if there is a power failure it will switch to DC automatically.
